*This example shows transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards to Southwest Airlines. The same process applies for all other Chase transfer partners. Visit our YouTube page to view videos of specific airlines or hotels.
Ultimate Rewards is the main rewards program operated by Chase. Ultimate Rewards can be transferred to travel partners only if you hold a premium Chase card, which are Chase Sapphire Preferred and/or Chase Ink Bold (business). There are other Chase cards that earn Ultimate Rewards points that can be combined and used for transfers if you also hold the Sapphire Preferred and/or the Ink Bold. These cards are Chase Freedom, Chase Freedom Unlimited, and Chase Ink Cash. There are currently 11 Ultimate Rewards transfer partners and each program transfers at a 1:1 ratio. Below we’ll walk through exactly how to transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points into partner programs.

If you do not have an account with the airline or hotel program you are transferring into, you can follow this link to create one (note that these are free accounts and you should never be asked for a credit card to register).
